Programs
Tennessee Avenue Christian Academy offers a wide range of extracurricular opportunities designed to enrich students’ educational experience beyond the classroom. These include athletics that promote teamwork, discipline, and physical development; fine arts programs that encourage creativity and self-expression through music, drama, and visual arts; and community service opportunities that foster a heart for serving others.
Through these activities, students are encouraged to develop their God-given talents, build character, and grow in leadership while making a positive impact in their school and community.
Athletics
TACA offers a variety of sports for our students, providing opportunities for physical development, teamwork, and school spirit. Beginning in grade 5, our athletic teams compete with schools throughout the Tri-Cities area and surrounding regions, allowing students to experience both home and away competition in a supportive environment.
Our sports programs include Lady Crusader volleyball, basketball, and cross country, as well as Crusader basketball and cross country for boys. In addition, TACA maintains a valuable partnership with the Bristol Soccer Association, giving students access to organized soccer opportunities and further expanding athletic involvement beyond the school setting.
Fine Arts
Tennessee Avenue Christian Academy provides a variety of fine arts and worship opportunities across all grade levels to help students develop their creative gifts and spiritual leadership. In elementary school, students participate in art and praise & worship, building a foundation for creativity and expression of faith.
Middle school students continue to grow through art classes and involvement in the drama team, where they develop performance skills and confidence.
In high school, students may join the Forward Drama Team or Praise Band, allowing them to use their talents in more advanced and impactful ways through performance and worship leadership.
Community Service
TACA provides a vibrant Student Life experience designed to help students grow spiritually, socially, and in their understanding of service to others.
A key part of this experience is Community Service, where students are encouraged to actively serve both the school and the surrounding community through meaningful projects that develop compassion, responsibility, and a heart for others.
Student Life
Students participate in regular Chapels, which are times of worship, encouragement, and spiritual growth. These services feature prayer, praise, and messages centered on Biblical truth, helping students strengthen their faith and build a Christ-centered perspective in their daily lives.
In addition, TACA organizes Outreach Events that give students the opportunity to put their faith into action beyond the classroom. These events allow students to serve local ministries, support community needs, and share the love of Christ in practical ways. Together, these Student Life opportunities help shape students into individuals who value service, leadership, and a life grounded in Christian faith.
