Academics

TACA is celebrating over 3 decades of providing a safe, loving, and Christ-centered learning environment for your children of all ages. We have been serving families of the Bristol community since 1988.

At TACA, we provide a nurturing environment where students from early childhood through 12th grade can thrive academically and spiritually. Join us in fostering a community grounded in faith and learning.

Early Education (from 6 weeks)

Our Childcare Center was created by two Christian women who loved children and saw a need in the community.

Child Playing Toys

Through structured routines, age-appropriate activities, and a strong emphasis on kindness and respect, little ones in our Early Education program develop confidence and a sense of belonging. TACA also integrates faith-based principles, helping little ones learn important values such as love, patience, and cooperation in a gentle and meaningful way.

We started with one child and have been growing ever since. We are licensed by the state of Tennessee with qualified teachers and staff to care for your children and teach them in an atmosphere based on the love of Jesus Christ. Call us and set up a time to come by for a visit. You can observe first hand what your child can experience.

K4 Preschool

The development of quality relationships and involvement in meaningful learning experiences are crucial for every child’s well-being and early development.

Kindergarten Graduation

TACA’s K4 preschool program provides a safe, nurturing environment that blends structured curriculum with hands-on, experiential play to keep young learners engaged.

Children develop social skills through positive interactions with teachers and peers while building early math and literacy through guided instruction and self-directed activities. The program also supports motor skills, problem-solving, and creativity. Using the A Beka curriculum from Pensacola Christian College along with supplemental materials, students explore God’s world and gain the foundational skills needed for a strong start in kindergarten.

Kindergarten – 5th Grade

The elementary program at TACA provides a fundamental academic foundation that is Christ-centered and Biblically based.  The Bob Jones University curriculum (BJU Press) is used for instructing students in kindergarten through fifth grade in a variety of subjects including literacy, mathematics, science, history, and Bible.

TACA emphasizes helping students master academic content and achieve at high levels. Teachers engage learners through direct instruction, small groups, and hands-on activities tailored to diverse learning styles. A well-rounded education is supported by enrichment subjects such as library, art, music and movement, computer technology (grades 3–5), Spanish, and physical education.

Most importantly, students grow in their love for Jesus Christ alongside their love of learning. Through daily Bible lessons, scripture memorization, weekly chapel services, and outreach opportunities, students learn foundational Biblical truths, including God’s plan of redemption through His Son. The program also fosters Christ-centered character traits such as respect, integrity, teamwork, accountability, love for others, and honoring Christ in all they do.

Grades 6 – 8

The middle school program at TACA builds on elementary learning and prepares students for more advanced, college-preparatory studies. Core subjects including grammar, language arts, science, history, and Bible, use Bob Jones University (BJU Press) curriculum, along with McDougal-Littell math. All instruction is Christ-centered, helping students understand God’s role in every area of life.

Students transition to more complex academic skills with a focus on mastery and high achievement. Teachers use structured lessons, direct instruction, small groups, hands-on activities, and differentiated teaching to support diverse learners. Enrichment courses such as art, technology, Spanish, physical education, and drama provide a well-rounded education.

Recognizing the challenges of adolescence, the program emphasizes spiritual growth and identity in Christ. Daily Bible classes include scripture memorization, study, and real-life application, encouraging students to develop a strong Biblical worldview and Christ-centered character.

Grades 9 – 12

TACA’s high school offers small class sizes with a full academic experience focused on college preparation. Students engage in rigorous coursework, co-curricular activities, and community service opportunities.

The curriculum includes BJU Press, A Beka, and McDougal-Littell, meeting and exceeding Tennessee and TACS requirements. Graduates earn a college-preparatory diploma, with courses taught from a Christ-centered, Biblical worldview.

Bible classes focus on applying Scripture to daily life, understanding doctrine, developing and defending a Biblical worldview, and serving others. Students are encouraged to discover their strengths and spiritual gifts.

TACA graduates are well-prepared for college and beyond, with alumni attending universities such as the University of Tennessee, Virginia Tech, and Liberty University, and earning significant academic and scholarship honors.
